It’s that time! We’re getting close enough to Christmas that we can start making baked goods—ones that keep well, of course—as we finish prepping our food gifts!
I have had great luck giving gingerbread biscotti as a food gift. It makes an easy remembrance for groups of people, like coworkers, neighbors, etc. A few pieces in a little glassine bag with a festive ribbon and you’ve got yourself a gift.
This year I used a gingerbread biscotti recipe from Fine Cooking, which adds even a little more festivity to the gift, but of course, any favorite recipe will work. In my case, I omitted the dried apricots from the above, simply because I didn’t have any on hand.
Of course, packaged with some jam, granola—and even maybe some pepper vodka for bloody Marys?—gingerbread biscotti makes a great addition to a holiday breakfast basket, which is one of my favorite gifts to give.
