Last night the eating partner and photographer (aka: my husband) and I got to partake of some very tasty pizza at Executive Chef Jim Cohen’s (of Louisville’s The Empire) new pizza place in Boulder, Pizzeria da Lupo.
Better still, I got to make it myself (under Jim’s watchful eye).
We also made mozzarella and enjoyed the ambiance of the place—inspired by a photo of a restaurant in Spain that Jim had carried around in his wallet for 10 years.
The pizza was excellent (if I do say so myself) with a delightful crust and truly flavorful toppings including sausage made by Louisville Sausage Company to Mr. Cohen’s own recipe and both house-made and imported mozzarella. The shaved Brussels sprouts, pecorino and walnut salad was really fantastic. And the blood orange mimosas were a fruity and fresh accompaniment.
