Well, my sugar-free experiment hasn’t gone exactly as planned, mostly due to the fact that I had already RSVPd for several food events in the last week, all of which involved sugar in some way.
And, well, I’m just not dedicated to the cause enough to cancel on those sorts of events. It is, after all, part of my job.
The good news, however, is that I’ve been VERY good about avoiding added sugar at home and on my own! I’m actually pretty proud of myself for that. I’ve stopped putting sugar in my coffee and I haven’t had dessert (at home) all week.
This next week should be simpler. I have my one cheat day planned for my dinner party Friday night, but other than that, I’ve got nothing going on that should derail my efforts.
