I love in Real Simple when they do those “new uses for old things,” and I have come up with one of my own!
While prepping a pie pumpkin to roast, I decided to try using a grapefruit spoon—you know, the ones with the serraded edges—to scoop out the oogie bits, and it worked perfectly!
Try it with any smallish winter squash. (I don’t think it would be very efficient on a giant jack-o-lantern pumpkin!)
You can buy the grapefruit spoon in the picture from Organize.com, and I earn a small commission to help support this site. Thanks!
